My name is Steve and I,m a Fishaholic.
I mainly fish from Warneet in Westernport,I have a 5.2m fglass Kingfisher Cuddycab 90hp Johnson.
It is my greatest shame to admit that I am still a snapper virgin.
The biggest snapper I have caught was 46cm,unfortunatly whilst gutting it I somehow threw it back.
It is for that reason alone that I continue to fish.

Please lord put me out of my misery.

Good to see you all here.

Have alook at the FAQ Steve and I wrote.

Its basic, but thats who it is aimed at.

I am trying to work out how all can post images.
Be patient and we can create a great site for newbies.

As I still think all the other sites get too technical too quick.

I object your honour,In point of FACT I did catch a 46cm one,and I have witnesses.Unfortunatly I threw it back in,sort of catch and release type of thing. The fact that it had been dead for an hour is irrelevant

By the way miss smarty.

Welcome to the church. You are not allowed to threaten me in here, or Grant will beat you up.

I beg to differ I think steve is still a snapper virgin at 46cm
However ther is no recomendations as to when a pinky
is classed as a snapper. As a rule of thumb I believe
2 kilo's is a good bench mark but thats just my opinion
Good luck on the snapper this year guys
cheers the Ant

Ant

I understand what you mean... but on the other hand a pinky ,squire, rugger are all terms for juvenile snapper... so the fact is a snapper is a snapper from the day it is born

but as a benchmark for a juvenile snapper to become an adult snapper i would dare say i agree there..

I'll still stick with 50cm.I'd hate to katch a skinny 51cm. at 1.9kg

You can all stop refering to me as a virgin thanks, I've fathered 3 kids.

50cm is a good Goal to aim for
I understand that a snapper is a snapper
but its a bit like saying a little girl is a woman
and a young boy is a man
I think of a snapper as a mature fish.
Just my thoughts on the matter.
not trying to cause trouble
cheers Ant.
