Went to JV last week at the new store at laverton. I have to say it was dirt cheap. Ultrabite pre-mixed burly was 6 bucks and its 9 at my tackle store. all the SP's were dirt cheap as well.

If there was a lure / SP bag limit I might have hit it last week!

Last time I was there I got 4 Shimano Charter Specials, Then I had to buy 4 new rods to go with them :P

I have a Shimano 615 boat rod. Its neat and pretty heavy. I run my overhead on it. The issue is I was talked into spooling it with 30lb fireline. You could tow a boat.

reckon I should respool with say 10kg line or keep it heavy? I have other rods that are set up on 4-6kg and 6-8kg.

I run 30 lb on most of my o/heads.no probs.

Grant, I run 30lb braid on my larger overheads (Calcutta 700's). I use these for Westernport.

For PPB I use Abu 7000's that I spool with 15lb braid. I do have a heavier set up with me on PPB just in case.
