who has a marine radio? i bought one last week or so, and have installed it so it is removable, what sort of range do you get from a 27meg and what channel do you use?
do you have it on all the time you are in the boat?

Hey,

I sit on Channel 94 and available by call sign JM660 (boat rego)

I leave it on most of the time, unless the swaering gets too much if I have my daughter on board.

Range: That depends. On a hot humid day you will get an effect called super refraction this is where you get extra-ordinary ranges. This shouldnt be relied on! Then on days with moisture high in the air you get sub refraction this can greatly reduce the range, however on a normal day, I get Point cook from Rickkets point.
