well just thought i would put in one of my favourite locations, to go with my 100th post. ype 100,

one of my favourite landbased locations is cape schank, i fish on the left side from the point, using lures i have caught pike, salmon and the odd kingie, only fish on a northerly, i find it is to dangerouse on a southerly, better be safe so i can fish again, have found the best months to be late january to end march, biggest salmon there just over 3kgs, biggest kingie 5.2kgs, find first thing in the morning the best, thats because i am yet to fish it in the arvo.

no recent pics, havnt been there for approx 5yrs ( just finding the time, and with kids now, i do most of my fishing early morning and evenings, when fish morn i like to be home by around 9 so i can have quality time with family) caught my last kingie there in 97,

as for the depth of water, i am not sure, but there is a bit of kelp evry now and then,

Yep, good to get in early and out early as well I find. then the rest of the day is there to enjoy
maybe with the reports of kingfish in the rip a couple of months ago places like that would be worth a go

I have been seriously thinking about ballooning for toothies there, as i firmly believe that if i am ever going to get my long awaited mako from sure that just might be the spot, wouldnt land one as i dont think that i/we would be able to carry it all the way up those stairs. I cant ever recall seeing anyone ballooning from there.
