Ive been following the reports on gummys in PPB and have decided to give it ago tonight, as I rarely fish in my own front yard { ppb } Im really looking forward to it and will be dragging the daughters b/f along with me so it should be very interesting,
They have been hooking gummys to 20 kilo,s in the last week or so and also getting some barracoutta on cocktail baits of fresh salmon and squid and eel
so with a bit of luck I should be back reporting a great catch tomorrow.
Karren

her usual story is a bloody big fish when nobody else is catching..... no doubt they are driving around looking for a public weighig station with a whale on a trailer.

Well here it is guys,
We fished off portsea jetty for all of 30 minutes I hooked 2 salmon up to a kilo, the daughters useless B/f chucked a huge hissy fit cause he was cold so we had to give up and go home, he p&%%#$ me off so bad that the next day I was finding it hard to be around him so when Joy picked up on my foul mood she packed our bags and we went to our onsite van at Lang Lang for a week where I fished till I was almost content catching salmon and undersized gummys and a bloody head cold.
sorry to dissapoint ya,s, but I will make up for it tomorrow as Im fishing black rock with Lynda using S,P,s.

Well........like all good plans, mine turned to jelly.
Friday night's fishing didn't eventuate due to fishing buddy, Glenn having to cancel. Postponed untill Saturday night with a boat trip (with my boys) still planned for Sunday.
Saturday morning had the Sunday fishing trip cancelled and bought forward to Saturday afternoon, which as it turned out knocked out Saturday night's surf fish.
Satuday wore on with the 'kid's sitting' being extende well past the original time-frame. Finally got on the water about 2.30, missed tides and 2 feral children had me in a somber mood. Decided to trawl around Black Rock whilst playing (learning) a bit more about my sounder.
All the time World Championship Wrestling taking olace in the rear of the boat. Numerous separations and threats of being thrown overboard (to test life jackets) failed to quell their atitude toward each other so decided to come in about 4 ish.
What a wonderful experience. My next boat will have bedrooms where the fueding parties can be adequately separated.
Arrived home, reversed boat up the drive to clean, got out of the car to have my youngest running up to me, I assumed to give me a hug because he had missed me.........how wrong. There I was feet apart, arms outstretched ready to embrace when..........wack, a kick to my right shin gave birth to an expletive that I can't repeat here, this was immediately followed by a punch extremely well directed to the goolies. I hadn't fully processed the pain from the kick when I found myself up close and personal to the driveway pavement. Apparently.......I discover some time later due to not including him in the fishing trip. An hour later following the relocation of my goolies from somewhere around my adams-apple I managed to clean the boat and open the first of several pain killers (bundy & coke's) for the night.
Next trip will definately be a solo venture.
