OK, so I'm luckier than most.
Being retired, I can pick and choose when to go out fishing.
Weekends are out, I play golf on Saturdays and there are too many at the ramps on weekends anyway.
Monday or tuesday are looking good, but where to go?
I don't think the snapper are in yet, there are still a few gummies being taken down around Rye, and some lucky anglers are finding a school of whiting late afternoon off St. Leonards.
I've done the "pinkies" thing off Black Rock a bit lately, but I'm getting tired of that, plus that Mordialloc ramp is a real pain with it's low bridges and shallow water.
I was thinking of Barwon Heads in 30-40 metres and see what comes along, but last time I launched there it was a little scary coming in at near dark.
The big resident snapper of Outer Corio Bay only seem to bite after dark, and that equals VERY cold!
The wind looks like being a north/northwesterly, I just can't decide!
