I have made an appointment with a boat trimmer to get a new bimni and a travel cover made for her.

Should have it next week.

I am stoked! Not looking forward to the bill.

Could be worse, I decided to revamp my boat, :D
Started by removing all the screws in the trimming and replacing all of the little white screwhead covers.
Did that and thought it looked like a **** job with all these little white buttons everywhere,,,, sooooooo,
Off with all the grey and off-white viynal and on with some new BLUE trim, all done with concealed bolts, not a screw cap in sight, :D
Looks great I thought,,,, shame about that dodgy looking thread bare grey carpet,, sooo
:D Out with the old grey carpet and in with some proper blue marine carpet 8)
Looks fantastic :P , shame about the fact that the seats and front cushions are still grey and off-white,,,, sooo,,, out with the seats and off to the trimmers  the cushions are easy but,,,, would be better to buy new seats than try and redo these buckets, says he. :(
Seems a shame to put these new seats on those dodgy old poles thinks I ,, sooooo,,,,,, off to PM Marine for some new f'glass Pedestals, whilst I'm here says I.. give me a couple of those boarding platforms as well
While I'm doing all this it suddenly dawns on me that the side rails and rocket launcher look wrong, soooo,,,,
I'll finish this project one day soon then I might get to actually take it out and catch a fish.
But boy am I gunna look good in the boat.

Good story steve. I could totally imagine going through the same exercise!!

Fortunately, I have had the ability to block most of the ideas out of my mind!

In real dollar terms it has not been that expensive. All the stainless was free naturally. :D
The carpet was $75 + $100 for glue and a brush.
3 meters of marine viynal was $78.
pneumatic stapler $50 from super cheap, staples were a donation from Raeline seats, who supplied the new front seats for just under $400 the pair, :P they also retrimmed the rear seat and front cushions, (xeee)
The seat pedestals and boarding platforms were $600 the lot,
New clears $450, :? second battery, some new LED lighting and a spotty.
The most expensive thing was my labour, if you take my hourly rate and multiply by 3 weeks + overtime, then yes it was a very pricey job. 8)
Looks bloody good though!!
:P
