My daughters boyfriend has just bought his first boat , its an 18 foot bondwood with a 70 hp Chrysler he got it pretty cheap and expected some minor probs as the bloke he bought it off told him a few porkies re the condition, since getting it home he has found major problems with the motor main prob is the old owner for whatever reason has cut the bolts off the head to get the water jacket off that keeps the water circulating over the head! he replaced the impeller and the water pump as he explained that it wasnt pumping water. he needs the head bolts drilled out and replaced has anyone got any suggestions for this? also there is a golden yellow fluid or oil trickling out of the water pick ups in the bottom half of the leg. only very small amounts can anyone tell him what the cause of this may be and is it anything to worry about or can it be fixed easily.
Last week we took the boat everywhere to get the bolts out , tried the wreckers, bolt shop, metal workers, mechanics and so on with no luck. I told him you guys are all pretty clever and have helped me out so if you have any suggestions he would be very gratefull.
Thanks
Kaz

Kaz, a couple of sites to try

http://www.pumaracing.co.uk/ToolUse.htm

http://www.chevytrucks.org/tech/stuckbolt.htm

http://www.dimebank.com/tech/BrokenBolt.html

The third one is closest to your circumstances, but in any case I'd be vewwy, vewwy careful if using heat to tgry to loosen things up. Aluminium heads melt a lot lower then steel stuff.
