Park it in the shed , why should i be doing more???
NAh all i mreally do is make certain the boat and trailer are washed 100%, pump the B/Buddies with grease, polish the boat rinse everything that gets carried in the boat with CT18 and rinse.
Remove engine cover and spray engine with Inox, apart from that there isnt much else i do.

Well I actually fish more in winter than summer....
reasons being...
Less boats to share the bay with...
Good fun with couta and off season snapper
wife is home more in winter
only the serious fishos come with me and I dont spend time putting bait on hooks that ar enot on my rod.
Salmon are about... :-)
Dave (salmonhead) is my normal winter fisher.
But I do use end of summer as my normal time for a overhaul of everything...

i don't know when one season starts and the other finish
jan - march = snapper, marlin , whitting in Vic and NSW
april - june = blues and yellow fin and the gummies in wp
jul - sept = kinngies and yellow fin
oct - jan = kinngies ,yellow fin, snapper, marlin , whitting in Vic and NSW
and we start all over again
so can someone tell me when the season starts and finishes ??????????
i use the boat at least fortnightly but i wash the trailer/boat 100% after every time i use it and the gear . every season the i replace the bearings and i regrease then on a monthly basis .

Yeah winter there are not as many boats out thats for sure.
The congestion at the ramps is not as bad.
Weather is a concern but if ya have the right gear your good to go..
So what am I waiting for???
I have the flu!!!
cheers

no end of season here.
Winter fishing is ok so long as you have some warm clothing and a good set of clears.
the best part of winter fishing is that you don;t need to get to a ramp at 3:00am just to get a park.

This is the easy bit.. When u buy yr boat go halves with some one who likes to clean..or take the wife along..or better still get her to meet u at the boat ramp when u come in..

I'm not sure what u mean by end of season..is that when u stop targeting one fish over another..Perhaps u mean snapper closure..Or is it when we stop throwing cray pots..is it when the football stops or even the cricket..perhaps its to do with tomatos or grapes..know i no yr not talking about dry docking da boat thru winter cause i have read most of yr posts ( Keep up the good effort by the way ) and i know yr a keen boatie who not only knows, fishing is better in winter and the winds more reliable not to mention fewer people entertaining us with their antics at the local boat ramp.. so Grant please tell me what u mean by end of season

Umm
I was referring to PPB and the diff between middle of Snapper season and winter..
I think your referring to Portland and as you know only fished it once and well it was blowy I promise :)
got me nothing!!
cheers
