Canvas repairer

Hi all,

I've discovered a rip in my boat's tonneau cover. Can anyone recommend a canvas repairer? (preferably in the Werribee / Hoppers Crossing / Altona area)

Try a couple of the motor trimmers, including the ones along the Old Geelong Road over from Supercheap. Not a recommendation but more an indication of where to look. Get quotes.
My wife has done repairs on some of my covers but not for rips and tears - more for replacing zippers. It can be done with a normal sewing machine and strong poly thread.
If you find someone who does a good job at a reaso***le price let me know cos I could be in the market for a couple of new ones myself.

Thanks for the suggestions triman - I hadn't thought of the motor trimmers. I'll let you know how I go. This one's going to be a bit awkward to fix because it looks to be right along the seamed edge just above where it press-studs onto the top of the windscreen. Haven't climbed up yet to take a closer look at the damage. I'm thinking maybe one of my cats might have used it as a trampoline bed (buggers!).

If the trimmers cant help or expensive I'd recommend Barry of Anchor covers over this way in Bayswater. I know its a way to come but if you want a good job. He does covers for manufacturers such as Streaker and work in willie etc.
Prices are reaso***le and work first class.

I use a company called clearwater he did the new bimni for my rig. They come to you. Cant find the number yellow page it.
