Aluminium Savage Lancer SF 565

Hi all,

i have just depositted some cash for this boat and i am quite happy with it through inspection but would like to know more details from others who have the same boat or know someone with one.

the boat comes with a 115 yammy 2 stroke with 200hrs on it.

does anyone have specification of this boat or know details of it?
i.e. fuel capacity, max speed on WOT, handling offshore conditions, handling PPB's 20knots or more etc...

Looks _very_ similar to my Scorpion SL - the cuddy & bow setup look almost identical to my boat (maybe the SF is the model series before the SL?). Savage don't seem to have details of the older models on their website (www.savageboats.com.au). I had a brochure kicking around at home from when I bought my boat - if I can find it & it has anything about your model, I'll let you know.

Hi there,

sorry it is a lancer sp "sports pro" i think it is called on the savage web site.
anyway, it is a 2001 model so not that old. it sure has almost the same configuration as the Scorpion, osprey and mako.
i have heard somewhere that it is a move above the osprey (which is already a good platform).
regardless, it will be spending a lot of time on the water when the reddies move in hehehe.

will hit the water as early as mid Aug, even though it is pretty slow this time of the season?!?!
otherwise it was be out there most weekends during snapper season. i will pick it up next week. just have to give it a good clean then obtain:

color sounder, gps
safety equipment
bit and pieces but that is all.

will be fun and i know it is not as good as some other's boats but i am sure it will be loved and used as it is intended.

Man thats a top looking boat its not the boat that gets the fish its man or woman that that catches them so get out ther and have a go
