This is only really applicable if you fish offshore but here's some info I just came across
13 new Commonwealth Marine Reserves come into effect on 3rd Spetember this year, affecting the offshore waters of Victoria and tasmania.
Within our area of interest are the reserves off Apollo Bay and around the Hogan/Wilson's Promontory area. These are both considered a "Multiple Use Zone" where recreational fishing is allowed, however if you do a charter out of Lakes or Eden to look at the Continental Shelf there are 2 large zones closed to all fishing.
