The current info on the Lakes Entrance
Port of Gippsland Lakes
Lakes Entrance - Bar and Entrance Channels
Condition Report
As of 27th August 2007 the navigability of the channel through the bar is normal.
The Dredge April Hamer is maintaining the channel through the bar and the channel is aligned on Green Light a half.
Mariners should still be aware that the entrance channel into the Gippsland Lakes can change at short notice.
Up to date information on the bar and entrance channel can be obtained by telephoning 03 51556999, or by contact with the dredges April Hamer or Kalimna on VHF channel 16, or from the notice board at Bullock Island Lakes Entrance, or by reference to Gippsland Ports website on www.gippslandports.vic.gov.au
