Hi all,

from pic lancer6, does anyone from here that knows what the hole (big one with 3 smaller screw holes) would have been there for?
i dont think it has anything to do with the transducer as there is a bracket right at the bottom of the transom.

from pic lancer3, can anyone help recommend how to patch up and paint as i dont think it is worth taking it to a workshop and have my arms and legs ripped off to get that fixed.

thanks pws

Those holes are from a transducer cable being passed thru the transom, big hole on top was to get the plug thru, 3 holes surrounding it are from the chrome or plastic hood, hole halfway dorn is for the cable clamp and the holes on the bottom are where the transducer bracket was mounted.
Fill them with sikaflex.

I agree entirely, but I'd give it all a bit of a roughing up with some mid-grit sandpaper and check very thoroughly for any water that may have got into the holes. Last thing you need after filling the holes and repairing that other minor ding is to have the transom starting to fail.
And yes, Sikaflex is a great filler, sanded and followed by some flowcoat.
