I've got a Muir VRC400 windlass and after demolishing it for a rebuild I'm having trouble getting the wiring right.
It's a 4-wire motor, 2 to the field coils and 2 to the armature.
Been playing around with variois combinations of wire and a starter battery but can't seem to get it right.
Anyone got any experience with these beasties?
