Believe it or not, most (if not all) DVD players you buy here are already multi-zone capable, although they tend not to promote this fact. Something about the region encoding restriction violating some fair-use clause here in Aust. Even the cheapies that go for $50 ~ $100 are usually multi-zone.

yeah thats a good idea, i just got a visa debit card from westpac. Any online purchases i use that card. It normally only has enuff cash in there for the item im purchasing ;)
My sister got done about 2 years ago by using her credit card over the net. She got charged 4K to her card by some smart ass living in America. But i guess it was her own fault for downloading stupid stuff on her computer.
You don't need to use a card over the 'net to get stung. I got hit about 2 months ago for about $24k - and that card was pretty much _never_ used on the net. Only thing we can think of is that the card got compromised whilst overseas back in Jan/Feb. We had charges from all over Europe hit the card - Italy, Germany, UK, Scandinavia, Portugal. The galling thing was though that the bank ADMITTED to knowing about it FOUR WEEKS before we picked it up on the statement (hmm.. wondered why our statement ran to like 15 pages we we opened the abnormally thick envelope that month!). But when pressed on the 'why': "gee, we're sorry, but you know, human error and all that.. stuff falls between the cracks"... yah B******T Said bank now has a zero credibility rating in our books & accounts will eventually be closed once we get untangled from them.
Compare that to another bank who picked up a sus charge a year or so ago (on a different card that we'd _never_ used for *anything* on the net, *ever*) for something like $1.30 being made @ 2am on some Yahoo-based website. We were called by them @ 8:30am & the card was cancelled immediately and re-issued on another number. Apparently this is a well-known approach by fraudsters: they put through a miniscule transaction through in the wee hours of the morning. If the transaction doesn't get objected to and completes ok, then they come back with the big guns and screw for whatever they can get.
Banks! Can't live with them, can't live without 'em... grrrrrrrrrr
<rant mode off ;-) >
now back to our (ir)regularly-scheduled fishing...
Don't know whether you ever got a copy or not BUT on May 28th on Fox Classics is Play Misty For Me
Cheers
