I came across that page a while ago when i was checking some info on establishing your own mooring, as we once did opff the Cowes Shire Caravan park in the late 60s and early 70s.
Now it's all forms, permits, contractors etc.
Anyway depending upon how long you want to romp in the sand the best place I know with a decent tidal range and a sandy beach is in the Lover's Walk area just east of Cowes.
Good sand, a 2 metre range.
Otherwise in PPB the options are pretty limited because I think just about every bit of sand will have 2 umbrellas on it within 2 minutes of sunup.

Found a spot... near black rock. where the cerberus wreck is and was wondering how we might go fo ran en masse visit for our next outing.
Didnt beach but good sand on sounder and no rocks and most importantly no "NO BOATS" little yellow markers.
we could always achor and do runs in.
