So I couldnt get out htis weekend (again!) and went to JV marine and went a bit stupid... no idea when i will get to use my new real and 27 thousands hooks and sinkers, but it was fun!

Lead at the scrap metal yard is 65 cents per kg, you could always sell it and get some $$ back, hooks I might be interested in if you let me know what you have, oh I dont recall you saying you are having a sale,

I still have a few rods and reels also that I am yet to use, the mrs's cant complain, they go to clothes shops, shoe shops etc and buy and buy and how many times do they NOT wear the items they buy, ???

There was a 20% off sale cat cranny tackle..
damm MAKO sunnies were going for 75bucks normal 270odd
I know thats a lot more than 20% but there were some magic sales..
I am not happy as I am in Werribee and it was too far for me..

They also had snapper racks with 6 or 7 rod holders going for 50 bucks each and ugly stick snapper combo,s from 30 bucks, they have this Gala sale every year so I might have to start saving my pennies now for the next sale.

I suppose I am lucky, I wake up form a good sleep, look in mirror and all I see is my 49 fishing rod collection in hallway, get out of bed and walk past it , the rack is 12 ft long and 8 ft high, then I walk another 6ft and before I enter living area I look up and see my 14pound snapper hanging on the wall and bellow it is a set of bronzie jaws,

Be carefull of the new uglystick as its not what we all regarded as a damn fine rod though it is made by Shakespeare it is now made in China under licience and is not the same rod if you want a good cheap rod with the same feel as the uglystick get a Silstar deep blue Fast taper rod sensational feel for overhead reels only approx $50
