Hi everyone,

sorry if this thread has been done to death somewhere before but i am still very peed off with Hobsons Bay council.
i know that it was probably my fault but i am still angry and want some justification.

on the weekend, i took my boat out and it was a 5am start when i got the to the ramp.
there was no parking left, even on the road so i pulled up on the nature strip.
went out for 5 hours and unfortunately got nothing this time, so when i got back, i walked about 500km to get to my car and got a $66 fine for parking on the nature strip!
i do have a yearly permit which i paid $180 for and i have licenses and all other legalities!
the f***** (excuse my poor french) council thinks that they have upgraded a first class boating ramp... have they?
only two usable ramp and a near silted entrance!
talk about being angry!!!! i could have choked the first parking inspector there if i had seen him or at least chain him up and give him a shovel to clear the entrance instead of writing out fines!
geeeeeze some people do have the hyde! i hope they get their act together and maybe provide more facilities rather than sitting on their big fat tooches all day thinking that they have done something good for the community!
ok, that's enough B*****ng for me! hehehe

I drove through there at about 10am and it was chok a block! it was insane, I nearly went and handed out some PW cards and alike, but father duties called.

The lastime they tried to clear the channel they got swamped and the digger spent a couple of days under the water.

Had a mate who had the same problem but at the st.kilda ramp, he was told to park else where but the only place to park was an illegal spot, told the one in charge that he has paid all his fees etc, and the fees include car parking, if they cant handle the car and trailer parking they should not issue so many yearly/seasonal tickets. if he gets a ticket they are paying, he was allowed to park in the private section, I know its a different area but hey give it a go.

ps the more you protest in writing the longer it takes them to get the money, if you want to hang out paying them, that is the only way to do it with out getting additional charges added.
