I, the Director of Marine Safety, on the recommendation of Stuart Ord, Regional Manager, City and Bays, Parks Victoria, hereby give notice under subsection 15(1) of the Marine Act 1988 that from 11.00 pm 31 December 2007 to 12.30 am on 1st January 2008, bathing and the operation of vessels (including anchoring, mooring or allowing a vessel to lie) excluding those vessels involved with the fireworks display, vessels owned and operated by Parks Victoria and with the permission
of Parks Victoria are prohibited on the waters of Port Phillip Bay within a 100 metres radius of a point approximately 250 meters north of Brooks Jetty, St Kilda.
