Tackle purchased but yet tested

Saw some of the replies in testing tackle and the above was mentioned.

How many of us have purchased tackle/equipment and yet to use.

I purchased a game rod 15-24kg Penn, approx 6 years back and yet to use, also purchased a few reels which have yet to use.

I think most of has at one time has purchased something and yet to use,

Would be intersting to hear what others have to say and items, dosnt have to be fishing gear.

Yep i have a brand new 30svw Penn Iternational sitting here attached to a penn sentaor rod, its been taken to the water but yet to be used for its purpose.

Im a real tackle rat and have lures, jigs, Sps, jig heads all still unopened, some Ive had for years and are by todays standards now classed as vintage.
I have made a hobby of collecting soft plastics and have over 500 soft plastics most of which are unused, I have made up a box of shads, hammer tails, grubs and worms ect and another box of crank baits, wieghted prawns, squid, crabs and fin fish ect , and I keep these boxes in my car along with my plastics rod so where ever I go Im ready for a fish.
