called into Lee Rayner and Morne Mullers new shop Fishing Fever in Mordialloc a great set up and the best thing neither of them has lost the enthusiasm for fishing if you want some good advice do your self a favour and drop in
Though Morne and I talked more about cooking as he is an ex chef I'm just about to write a recipe for a Thai snapper for Pam his wife as she loves fishing but is not keen on strong tasting fish could be a good idea for a thread

Hi Grant try this

Alans Thai recipe for people who don’t like strong tasting fish
Ingredients feed 6 small people or one large guts
1 tablespoon Peanut oil
1 tablespoon brown sugar
½ cup Basil leaves (loosely torn apart)
1 tea spoon fresh coriander chopped fine
1 tea spoon Vietnamese mint
1 can carnation light coconut milk
2 tea spoons fish sauce
1 tablespoon red curry paste (Mae Sri if available)
1 Kilo Snapper fillets
2 cups Basmati rice
Cook rice set aside,
put sugar, half the Basil, fish oil. Coriander, mint, red curry paste and coconut milk into a saucepan and heat gently for 10 minutes put in rest of Basil just before you serve
Pan Fry fillets in Peanut oil roughly 2 mins per side
Place bed of rice on individual plate’s put fillets on top and pour sauce over
Can be a little hot for non initiated in curry though it is quite mild

Alan, I have not even had time to put the boat in the water when the weather has been good, but plenty of time when its been to blowy, even considuring trying land based.
