Every now and again, you find a cool piece of technology that firstly gets you excited then actually lives up to the hype. This is one of those Apps.
The interface works very easily with all the usual Iphone finger actions to zoom, scroll and mark.
It will recored your tracks and show on the chart, you can plot a route and follow it as you motor.
THe graphics render well, however there are some examples of the text running over each other when you zoom out to a level where you wouldn't expect that issue.
On the cool side of the app, you can overlay satellite data from google or Bing. This is very helpful if you are trying to line up the chart to the shore line visually.
The app is available in the normal Iphone version and now a HD version on the IPAD. I trialed both for this review and I founf the IPAD app a stunning tool to use even using the lower resolution version for the Iphone.
Cost of the app is reaso***le at $14.99 and they are very quick to update charts and are constantly bringing in new features.

Round up:
Pro's: Easy to use and will always have up to date charts.
Con's: When the battery goes flat so does your chart reader.
