For me the winter is about my non-fishing obsession, Skiing. But for many of us its simply a new phase of the continuing fishing year. In FNQ where winter sees the mucury dip to 22-23 Deg during the day, fishing during winter yields bream, tailor and jewfish. Whilst in WA there is tailor and more Jewies.
